The 2014 Light Up Leederville Carnival presented by Alcohol.Think Again.

Sunday 7 December 12pm – 8pm (FREE EVENT)

Bannister Downs are proudly sponsoring the Latte Art Smackdown competition at this years Light Up Leederville Carnival. This new competition sees the best baristas from in and around Perth go head to head on stage from 12pm to create ‘coffee art’, battling it out for $500 prize money. Download application forms from the carnival website.

The City of Vincent and Leederville Connect host one of Perth’s favourite street festivals: The Light Up Leederville Carnival.

Now in its third year, this free family event is expanding to cater for the 70,000 expected visitors to the Leederville town centre. The double-decker bus on the corner of Newcastle Street and Vincent Street will remain the hub of the Carnival.

In addition to the vast array of food, music, bars, fashion, art, roving performers and children’s fun that makes up the Carnival, this year there will be 250 market stalls, eight stages and three family areas, with a focus on art, health and sustainability.

The Carnival will of course culminate at nightfall with the illumination of Leederville Christmas Lights and decorations.  This ‘lighting up’ of Leederville as night falls is coming to be known as a truly memorable and special annual community celebration, which is the heart of the Light Up Leederville Carnival presented by Alcohol.Think Again.

The full Carnival program featuring maps and timetables will be available on the website early November at www.leedervillecarnival.com.au
