The distinctive chalk pouches keeping award-winning Bannister Downs milk fresh and tasty in fridges across WA have been made finalists in multiple categories for the 2020 Australasian Packaging Innovation and Design Awards.
With the recent announcement of the 2020 awards finalists, Bannister Downs Dairy was delighted to learn long-term packaging partner Ecolean has been recognised for their innovative packaging designs.
Innovation has been one of the main drivers at Bannister Downs Dairy since its inception and the 15-year-long partnership with Ecolean reflects not only a commitment to innovation, but also world leading sustainable and low waste dairy.
Ecolean earned a spot as a finalist for the 2020 Packaging Innovation & Design of the Year Award – Beverage Category, for the Bannister Downs Dairy chilled pasteurised milk range. The nomination recognises innovative packaging and material use, as well as sustainable packaging design considerations.
The easy-use design of the Bannister Downs pouches also earned Ecolean a place as a finalist for the 2020 Accessible Packaging Design Special Award, which recognises accessible, intuitive, easy-to-open and innovative designs.
Bannister Downs Dairy managing director Sue Daubney was delighted for the Ecolean team.
“At Bannister Downs, we have really enjoyed working with Ecolean since we first started processing our milk in 2005 and it is great to see them receiving recognition in Australasia for their incredibly innovative and sustainable packaging.”
The 2020 Australasian PIDA winners will be announced virtually in April.
