Bannister Downs Farm is ideally located in the lower south west region of Western Australia, in the town of Northcliffe.
Whilst only having a very small population, Northcliffe is home to the largest number of old growth Karri trees and still has a very large area of uncleared state and national forest.
We have the benefit of wonderfully rich karri loam soils to grow abundant pasture for our girls. Northcliffe is also fortunate to have the most ideal climatic conditions in Australia for dairy farming.
Because of the levels of rainfall, the maximum and minimum temperature range and how close the farm is to the coast we have the perfect climate to make sure our girls are comfortable and have the best pasture to graze on.
Bannister Downs Farm has been in our family for nearly a century and the way we feel about the farm, town and community is very special. It’s a strong, intangible feeling of connection to the land, the environment and its people.
We see dairy farming as our calling, something we’re made to do, and that is why we take so much care to ensure we’re having a positive impact on our farm, our girls and our natural surroundings.
We want to make it better for the next generation. That’s our job. Everything we do is done with consideration and care.
