Ecolean submitted BDD products for their (Ecolean’s) entry into the 2021 World Packaging Awards, and were excited to have been announced winners in the International Packaging Competition (from entire Beverage Category).

A rather flash trophy was delivered to BDD today  - pretty exciting to have played a part in an International award!

Ecolean wins WorldStar Global Packaging Awards 2021

Ecolean’s lightweight packaging solutions have received global recognition as one of the winners in the prestigious WorldStar Packaging Awards 2021 announced by the World Packaging Organisation (WPO). Ecolean won the category of ‘Beverage’ for its Ecolean® Air packaging together with Australian customer Bannister Downs Dairy’s flavoured beverages.

The WorldStar showcases packaging innovation and technology with a focus on sustainability, product protection and end-user convenience, and is the most prestigious packaging award globally. The award marks Ecolean’s third WorldStar recognition to date. “The submissions were, again, of a significantly high standard, and to note was how well the submissions in general reflected the focus of packaging with sustainability in mind. Also of interest was the number of clever and unique ideas,” says Pierre Pienaar, President of WPO.
